The compendium is intended as a guide for those who wish to take an important step forward in the knowledge of the many species of large fungi through the microscope. It is a new edition by Kolbjørn Mohn Jenssen and Gro Gulden, first published in 1990 and later revised, most recently in 1997. First of all, it is a compendium on the microscope and how to use it. The authors are Kolbjørn Mohn Jenssen, Anne Elisabeth Scheen and Gro Gulden. Hermod Karlsen created the drawings based on sketches by Gro Gulden. Photos by the authors, illustrations by, among others, Jan Nilsson and Mikael Jeppson.
