Wax mushrooms (wax discs) are often beautifully colorful cap mushrooms in yellow, orange or red colors. They are found in meadows and pastures. However, they are not only beautiful to look at but can also be used as a tool in nature conservation. The book places all species in a value pyramid that can be used as factual information in nature conservation contexts. The book provides a solid overview of all wax mushrooms that occur in the country. In total, there are just over 50 species. All species are illustrated with pictures and descriptions and their ecology and known distributions are reported.
